The walk to the entrance
The (in)famous sign on almost every concentration and death camp
How the wall would have been set up
The beds that people would have had to sleep on
The posts in the jail that prisoners would be hung from by their wrists
Station Z's foundations, showing the gas chambers and shooting range
Where the dead bodies with gold teeth or those who had been experimented on would go
Now for a little bit of a happier atmosphere
The first view of the gardens
Our favorite cherry blossom tree
It was such a ice day that day
We enjoyed this garden the most because of the tea house
As you can see, this Chinese garden was beautiful
The labyrinth we weren't able to go explore
This was for yesterday's post
The Jewish museum (Holocaust axis). If you can see, the corridor gets smaller towards the back
The back of this axis. It's almost touching out heads, where before it was many feet higher
The cell we walked into (flash was on)
The Torah
The empty spaces throughout the museum
I like this. It shows how the Jews were becoming more of a part of society.
Also, notice the picture in the background...
...Look familiar?
OK, the tops of these blocks were mostly straight, the path just slopes and undulates downward.
This was at the hotel we ended up not staying at, so we had to put our luggage back on the bus.
Yeah, it was just that kind of day
And... that's it for the pictures of yesterday. Don't worry, I'll still be posting something for today's day at Otto Bock, but I wanted to get these up first.
