Ready to go!
The first sight of Amsterdam
The Centraal station we came out of
A cute canal and the buildings around it
Where we ate
Look at the lights!!
It's so pretty at night!
Start of the 'fred' light district (Fake red light district)
There's a Durty Nelly's there! Now I've been to two!
Chickens around our cabin
No big, just a nice church
Enjoying our lunch in the cafe
A real bagpiper!
Around Dam square
The central piece of the square
Look how happy we are in front of the cairrage
This is a shopping place...SHOPPING! A CHURCH/CASTLE! No big
Anne Frank statue
I just really like this picture
The Rijksmuseum (yes, all one word)
More detail of the front
Just above the entrance tunnel
Diana/Artemis depending on the religion/era
Cool chess set
A Genealogy of Royalty
This is a prayer nut, all carved from one nut, completely zoomed in
See the nut on the right? All these were carved from wood
In the special exhibits
So many model ships!
Look at how pretty the clothes are
A huge mirror, I'm probably 30 feet away at this point
The LIBRARY!! It's glorious!!
Look how many books it has! All antiques too!
For some scale, the hull comes up to just below my chin (about 5 feet high)
These European countries have such ornate crests
See the things on 'msterd'? those are tall boys
I amsterdam with less people in the way
Self explanitory
This was a neat little view
Having fun in the pub waiting for the train.
We took turns reading the menu in different accents. One of my favorite memories of the trip.
And that is Amsterdam! I'm glad that I went, but I don't think I'd like to go back, once was quite enough.
