A scale model of Bonn in the street
After a leisurely walk to AIB, I started to work on the design homework due by 11:45. It lasted all the way to History of Medicine to finish it, but I was able to concentrate on Dr. Wasser for his lecture about anesthesia and it's history. Why anesthesia? We're going to the Anesthesia history museum when we come back from Austria to talk to the curator (who's as much a part of the museum as the exhibits) and he wanted to give us a bit of background on what we'd see.
After that class was design where we talked more about the steps we need to take to get a design to market and just starting the group in the right direction. We were given more homework, but it's due in two weeks, so I'm not going to worry about it this week when I could be enjoying Vienna. When that class was done, we basically swarmed our teacher to have her help us on our signals homework. It's not terribly hard to do, in fact it's quite easy once you know what to do. The problem isn't our logic, but the steps get mixed up in our heads, especially the people with no background in Diff EQ (what the class is based on) and we get to a certain point alright but get tripped up at the Diff EQ parts. After my two questions, I went to Rewe to get some quick lunch and came back with bread, chocolate to share, and nutella for the group. I've noticed that nutella is super big here, and I think I'm becoming used to it. I'm going to have to get it once I'm back in the states.
After lunch was signals where we did more confusing problems, though less than before due to our teacher going so slow and making sure we understood the methods. Once that class was done, we were done for the day and some went home to pack and sleep while others did homework. I stayed to work on my school blog (yes, I have 2. It's especially tiring on days like today where I have a large amount to write.) I took a 10 minute break to work on MATLAB that turned into an hour, so by the time that coding was done, I left to go back home. When I got there, I had Quiche for dinner. Now, anyone that knows me knows I don't like eggs, and quiche is no exception. However, it'd be extremely rude to not even try it, so I picked out a piece and ate it. It was delicious! I ate my whole portion of eggs for the first time in years. After dinner Marie taught me one of those hand clap games and we thumb wrestled for a bit. We even worked on a 3-D puzzle together of the Eiffel tower. Soon it was time for bed, so while they got ready, I wrote up the Amsterdam post. As I need to get into a taxi to get to the meeting point for our flight at about 4:15 this morning, I thought I might as well spend the time catching up on this blog. I still haven't decided if I'll sleep for a few hours before getting up or just stay up.
I'm so looking forward to Vienna tomorrow! I can't wait for all the things we'll do there. So until next time,
Tschuss!
